It is definitely a lovely coincidence that the late Bollywood legend Rajesh Khanna and his daughter the witty Twinkle Khanna celebrate their birthday on the same day, which is December 29. Rajesh Khanna, who everyone iten hailed him as the Bollywood’s first true superstar, would have been 75 if he had been alive. Rajesh Khanna had passed away in July 2012, after being critically ill for months.

Daughter Twinkle remembered her father’s special day, by posting an old black and white picture of theirs. It looks like the picture was taken when Rajesh Khanna was being felicitated at some event, with a young Twinkle by his side. Check out Twinkle’s tweet here,

While Twinkle fondly remembers her father, her hubby Akshay Kumar celebrated her birthday by taking her for a ride. Currently, their family is celebrating a special holiday in Cape Town, South Africa. Akshay tweeted a picture of them riding in a car with the caption, “Forever making every ride full of adventure and amusement, my favourite companion…for life! Happy birthday, Tina”

The family took off for their holiday on December 22. The family will be staying at their ocean-facing home where they will first ring in Twinkle’s birthday which will be followed by a New Year party.Meanwhile Akshay Kumar is ready with his upcoming film Padman which also features Swara Bhaskar, Sonam Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan in a cameo. This will mark the debut of Twinkle Khanna as a producer. Akshay Kumar will be bringing to life a real-life story of Tamil Nadu based activist Arunachalam Muruganantham who changed the concept of menstrual hygiene in rural India by creating a low-cost sanitary napkins machine.
