Samsungwas last month rumoured to be working on a first-ever detachable Chromebook. Now, some new details have popped up online for the same device. According to some codes found by the Chrome Unboxed website, the upcoming Samsung Chromebook is being referred to as ‘Nautlius’
The device is once again said to sport Intel 7th-gen processor, which means it will be one of the most powerful Chromebooks around upon its launch. ‘Nautilus’ could also have its high-end camera as one of the selling points. According to the website, the Chromebook may feature camera with Sony IMX258 sensor. This is the same sensor that is used in the LG G6, the South Korean tech giant flagship smartphone of last year.
Although there are no other details available of the upcoming device, previous reports point towards a Galaxy Book-like detachable design. We may see something coming from Samsung in next few days during CES 2018 conference.
Samsung is not new to Google’s Chromebook series as the company already has made a few Chromebooks. Only time will tell what the South Korean tech firm has in store for the market.
Some of the key features of the device are 12.3-inch screen with QHD resolution, up to 16GB RAM and 512GB inbuilt storage, Google Assistant, Chrome OS and battery up to 10 hours.
