USA TODAY mock draft has Bengals taking tackle

With 2018 just under way, USA TODAY’s first NFL mock draft is published, and it has the Cincinnati Bengals filling a major need in the first round with the 12th overall selection.

From USA TODAY Sports’ Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz:

12. Bengals — Mike McGlinchey, OT, Notre Dame: An inability to provide consistent protection or open running lanes doomed Cincinnati’s skill positions from finding sustainable success. McGlinchey is well-rounded and experienced, though he might need time to adjust to facing the NFL’s elite speed rushers.

Other picks of interest? Middlehurst-Schwartz has the Browns taking quarterback Sam Darnold of USC with the first pick and DB Minkah Fitzpatrick of Alabama fourth overall. Louisville’s Lamar Jackson remains a Cardinal but heads to Arizona at No. 15. The Ravens grab Oklahoma State wide receiver James Washington at No. 16. The Steelers take Iowa cornerback Josh Jackson 29th. And former Moeller High School standout Sam Hubbard, a defensive end from Ohio State, heads to the Patriots at No. 31
